- E.g. The practice of monitoring employees’ internet activity without informing them or obtaining consent is unethical
- According to the Code of Ethics (Respect privacy), individuals are entitled to know when their activity is being tracked. Secretly monitoring staff violates their right to privacy and undermines trust in the computing professional responsible.
